Cubicure is ‘Export’ champion

Cubicure achieved two top rankings at the YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS competition 2018, which is awarded by the magazine GEWINN. With the 6th place in the overall ranking und 1st place in the ‘Export’ category, Dr. Robert Gmeiner and Prof. Jürgen Stampfl, both managing directors of the Viennese start-up Cubicure, rank among the top 10 young entrepreneurs in Austria.

Vienna/Austria, November 9th 2018. For the 29th time, the YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS competition was organized by the magazine GEWINN with the support of UniCredit Bank Austria and Hutchison Drei Austria. 300 submissions out of about 1,000 first registrations qualified for evaluation, and the best 100 of them were selected for the award ceremony. A top-class jury chaired by Dr. Margarete Schramböck, Minister of Economic Affairs in Austria, chose Cubicure for the 6th place in the overall ranking and for the excellent 1st place in the category ‘Export’. Clemens Roitner, CFO of Cubicure GmbH, received the awards at the UniCredit Center on Kaiserwasser/Vienna on Friday, 16. November 2018.
 

The prize in the category ‘Export’ was awarded by the Federation of Austrian Industries and endowed with 4,000 Euro. With a respectable export rate of 95% in 2018, Cubicure is export champion of Austria’s young economy. In addition to sales and turnover development, the submissions were also rated according to the criteria of originality and quality of the business idea, corporate strategy, customer orientation, environmental compatibility and technical implementation of the concepts.


Cubicure GmbH was founded in March 2015 as a spin-off of TU Wien by Prof. Dr. Jürgen Stampfl (Institute of Material Science and Technology) and Dr. Robert Gmeiner. The company deals with the additive manufacturing of high performance polymers for industrial applications. Cubicure’s patented Hot Lithography technology enables the usage of high-molecular chemical substances for a high precision 3D-printing process. The technology’s core is a specially developed and patented heating and coating mechanism which is capable of processing resins and pastes of highest viscosity at operating temperatures up to 120°C. Cubicure develops photopolymers with thermoplast-like properties. Since 2017 Cubicure offers a newly developed and patented 3D-printer and associated materials.
